This course will give you a perspective on negotiations that will help you be more self-reflective, better prepared and able to use negotiating skills more effectively. It will also help you recognize why negotiations fail and what to do about it, including when and how to use mediation. The course will also discuss decision-making issues when approval is needed from members, boards, funders, committees and staff.

How Will Your Organization Appear to the General Public When They Read Your New Federal Form 990?

Course Objective: Gain a better understanding of the 990 form and how reporting on the form can effect your organization
We’ll take you on a whirl-wind tour of the new Federal Form 990 by highlighting selected line items within the form and the corresponding 16 schedules that your organization may need to complete. We will emphasis new areas of disclosure and strategies that could help position your organization to better provide the required information and compile the necessary back-up documentation. We will also review compliance issues as they relate to governance and key disclosures.
